Mini‐Abstract A 21‐year‐old man was referred to our department for surgical treatment of a nonrestrictive supracristal ventricular septal defect ( VSD ) associated with a Sievers' type 0 bicuspid aortic valve (type 0, ap, I) ( BAV ). Cardiac catheterization revealed a significant left‐to‐right ventricular shunt (Qp/Qs 3:1) with pulmonary hypertension. Surgical intervention was performed to close the VSD through the pulmonary artery trunk using a Gore‐Tex patch. Live 3D transthoracic echocardiography ( TTE ) was performed before and after the intervention. We compared the live 3D TTE features with the surgical findings.
