Mini‐Abstract Mitral valve leaflets aneurysms ( MVLA ) are a rare complication of aortic valve endocarditis and connective tissue disorders. They must be differentiated from other mitral valve abnormalities and subsequently followed by surveillance imaging due to the risk of progressive expansion and rupture leading to acute mitral regurgitation, even after successful treatment of endocarditis. We report a case of MVLA complicating staph aureus endocarditis in which three‐dimensional transesophageal echocardiography ( TEE ) improved localization and identification as compared with two‐dimensional TEE .
