Consider: An organization is like a living organism. It grows and evolves and finds ways to adapt to change. It interacts with its environment and sometimes develops symbiotic relationships with other organisms. How can design help organizations evolve from the inside and adapt to changes in what's outside? An organization is much like a living organism; it's an open system that can learn to adapt to changes in its environment.
