A LIM‐homeobox gene, Lhx1 is required for neural retina differentiation of the chicken eye. Immunostaining for retinal differentiation markers of an HH stage 29‐eye after Lhx1 ‐RNAi, which changes the presumptive neural retina into pigment retina.
