In their paper, van den Berg & Gredeback (2020) offer many criticisms of the research demonstrating increases in multimodal object exploration following 3‐month‐old infants' experience using sticky mittens to engage with objects. In the current commentary, I offer some clarifying points and some additional information from a new study that may help resolve apparent conflicts in the data.
