Metastatic deposits from malignant melanoma, renal clear cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma involving the thyroid gland have been reported before, but there are no previous reports of ovarian clear cell carcinoma metastatic to the thyroid. Cytological features and immunocytochemistry can help distinguish between primary and metastatic thyroid malignancies.
