Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare neoplasm of the accessory immune cells, the diagnosis of which can be missed if it is not included in the differential diagnosis of a spindle cell neoplasm. We describe the cytomorphologic features of FDCS with review of literature and emphasize the importance of routine cell block preparation for immunohistochemistry and confirmation of diagnosis.
