Lymphoepithelioma‐like carcinoma is fairly uncommon in the breast and cytopathological differential diagnosis of mammary cancers with medullary features requires recognising lymphoepithelial clusters and a fine nuclear chromatin pattern. Tumour‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) should be taken into account not only in histological but also cytological specimens because intratumoural and stromal TILs have value both prognostically and as predictive indicators for responses to chemotherapy.
