Summary The new species Strumaria argillicola G.D. Duncan is described. This late‐summer‐flowering geophyte is endemic to seasonal muddy pans in the Namaqualand region of the Northern Cape, South Africa. Details of its history, taxonomy, habitat and cultivation are given, accompanied by a watercolour painting and habitat photographs.
