Summary Nicotiana burbidgeae is a spectacular species that is a narrow endemic from the northern part of South Australia. It is illustrated from plants collected near Dalhousie Springs (Witjira National Park) and cultivated at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Its ecology, cytology and horticultural potential are discussed.
