Summary A new juno iris for the F lora of L ebanon and S yria, I ris wallisiae T. H all & S eisums, is described and illustrated. Recent work on the systematics and phylogeny of I ris subgenus S corpiris is reviewed. The relationship of I. wallisiae with related species, and particularly with I. persica L. , is discussed.
