The high cost of medicines used to treat neurological diseases has received considerable attention in recent years. Disease‐modifying drugs for multiple sclerosis are expensive, and the cost‐effectiveness of these drugs has been discussed in the USA and the European Union. In Japan, the cost of multiple sclerosis therapies has increased gradually.
