This expression of concern is for the above article, published online on April 12, 2011, in Wiley Online Library ( wileyonlinelibrary.com ), and has been published by agreement between the journal Editor‐in‐Chief, the British Pharmacological Society, and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. The expression of concern has been agreed due to concerns regarding data presented within the article. In 2017, the journal was contacted regarding the data presented in Table 1 and Graphs 1, 3, and 6. Credible concerns regarding the data distribution were raised. The author's institution, Panjab University, was contacted, and an investigation was initiated and completed in December 2018. In the journal's opinion, the investigation did not provide a clear indication of the provenance of the data, and this uncertainty remains. As a result, the journal is issuing this expression of concern to readers.
