Materials and Methods This study reports on the development and pilot of a mindfulness‐based group for young people with learning disabilities and their carers. Results Group participants reported that the group was helpful. Reports from carers show that the young people continued to use mindfulness‐based practices in their daily lives even after the completion of the group. Conclusion Mindfulness can be effective and accessible for young people with learning disabilities. More research is needed to increase our understanding of how and why participation in a mindfulness‐based group is helpful to young people with learning disabilities.
