The professional association for technology in learning and education—The Association for Educational Communications and Technology has revised the definition of the field of educational technology five times, and its definition and terminology committee defined the field by using “educational technology” (Edu T) and “instructional technology”(Ins T) separately in different definition versions within about 50 years (Ely, 2008).
