Whether teachers can provide meaningful feedback during learners’ learning process has a great influence on their learning effectiveness (Nix & Wyllie, 2011; Wang, 2010; Wang, 2011a). However, in a traditional classroom, as teachers need to interact with a group of students at the same time and are often pressured by catching up the teaching schedule, they fail to provide all learners with timely feedback (Wang, 2008; Wang, 2011b). Recently, mobile smart devices (eg smartphones) have gradually become standard equipment for individuals. This trend allows people with mobile smart devices to get online anytime, anywhere via WiFi, 3G or 4G networks and this in turn facilitates the development of cloud computing. This is an ongoing research project, which has developed an “Instant Questioning-Answering (iQA) system.” With the iQA system, it is expected that when learners have any questions about learning contents and cannot ask teachers or well-performing peers face to face, they can use their mobile smart devices to ask questions online via browsers or Apps and immediately obtain different levels of feedback to assist their learning.
