Summary This work of ethnographic fiction is a snapshot of a family of Afro‐Peruvian women in Callao. The story showcases the complexity and strength of women’s relationships with one another across generations and in the face of systemic inequalities as they play out across the urban landscape that is their home. This piece highlights the legacy of AfroPeruvian women, the diversity of their appearances and attitudes, and their willingness to support and care for one another.
