Summary We describe a four‐step method for fibreoptic‐guided, rapid‐sequence tracheal intubation through the air‐Q ® intubating laryngeal airway in infants with severe airway obstruction. Our step‐wise process provides an organised and controlled approach to safely securing the airway.
