On the Cover: A critical aspect of deceased donor organ transplantation is the method of offering organs to the patients awaiting transplantation. Inherent in this method is making sure that the priority ranking for each patient is observed and that their transplant center has the opportunity to accept the organ. This month, Mankowski et al (page 3071) demonstrate that a model of parallel, as opposed to sequential, offering could markedly decrease the time spent allocating kidneys, potentially reducing cold ischemic time and discard rate. Jayme Locke and Marty Sellers provide a thoughtful editorial (page 2971) highlighting the potential benefits of this approach.
