On the cover: The scientific literature has typically been comprised of peer‐reviewed articles from authors who know each other and work together. However, those outside of science have grown increasingly comfortable with so‐called “crowdsourced” content, and initial anxiety about the accuracy of literature derived from an unlimited number of people without regard for credentials has given way to the realization that crowdsourcing is remarkably good at providing accurate, up‐to‐date content, and that crowds tend to self‐correct biases as well as or better than individuals. In this issue of AJT, we present our first foray into crowdsourced content. Our first C4 Article (standing for Collaborative, Crowdsourced, Current, and Controversial; see page 2625) focuses on a topic that elicits polarizing opinions from most transplant professionals: organ allocation. An introduction to the C4 concept is presented by Editor‐in‐Chief Allan D. Kirk (see page 2619). There are also several articles addressing organ donation, including a viewpoint by Snyder et al (see page 2635) opining on the elimination of geographic boundaries for organ allocation.
