Puerto Rico has long had a large supply of donor organs that, historically, were shipped to the mainland United States. This month's “ AJT Report” takes a look at recent infrastructure growth in the commonwealth that has allowed for the development of a successful, self‐sustaining transplant program, with services available in heart, kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation.
