The human microbiome has captured the attention of medical researchers and clinicians for its role in immunity, infection, and inflammation. This month, “The AJT Report” examines fecal microbiota transplantation and its potential role in immunocompromised organ transplant recipients. We also take a look at emerging approaches toward heart transplantation using hearts from DCD donors.
