On the cover this month: With donor organs in perpetual short supply, liver transplant surgeons have endeavored to create techniques to allow for safe, live donor partial hepatectomy to facilitate live donor liver transplantation (LDLT). This is arguably the most technically demanding transplant procedure, and one that has little room for error on the donor or recipient side. In this issue (page 17 ), we present a comprehensive review from S.‐G. Lee, detailing his extensive and highly successful experience with this procedure. The article and its accompanying videos will be of great use to those engaged in liver transplantation, not only highlighting the anatomical nuances of the procedure, but also presenting important insights into the unique physiology of the partial liver graft.
