This article comments upon L ouzek ([Louzek, M., 2011]) in this journal, claiming that the analysis of S chmoller's method, as evidenced by his practice, allows us to highlight a few themes that are relevant not only in reconstructing his critique of M enger's methodological proposal but also for an extension of such critique to the current mainstream economics.
