Abstract An alarming increase in contact allergy to methylisothiazolinone ( MI ) has been noted worldwide. Airborne exposure to MI in paint is an acknowledged occupational hazard. We present the first Australian report of airborne allergic contact dermatitis ( ACD) following exposure to wall paint containing MI .
