The purpose of the article is to foreground the words of individuals experiencing homelessness and complicate our understandings of the values and visions individuals experiencing homelessness have for their lives. Through the use of poetry, the author seeks to represent the complexity and beauty that may be found in the lives of these mothers. Four poems “found” during a research project on the experiences of mothers parenting while homeless are presented.
