Abstract We provide the first records of the aphid Uroleucon ( Lambersius ) erigeronense (Thomas, 1878) on Conyza (Asteraceae) from Australia, within New South Wales (including Norfolk Island), the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Western Australia. This is the second recorded species of the genus Uroleucon and the first recorded species of the subgenus Lambersius from Australia. We also present biological and morphological information on these Australian records, collate known geographic distribution and known host plants, suggest changes to widely used identification keys and discuss the potential impact of the aphid in Australia.
