Choice architecture interventions alter problem behavior by changing decision-making contexts without restricting choices or economic incentives. Despite their appeal and seeming simplicity, choice architecture interventions for addictive behaviors have developed more slowly than anticipated due to complexities involved in translating transdisciplinary science on decision-making into scalable interventions with population impact.
