This special section investigates the meaning and possibilities of justice at the global level. It does so by offering a first systematization of the current debate on this topic. ‘Global justice’ is a complex and multidimensional notion and, for this reason, we identify three thematic clusters, where the normative dimension of justice is confronted with the economic, socio‐cultural and ecological components of our globalized reality. This exercise calls for the inclusion of all those different voices and disciplines involved in the contemporary debate.
