Epithermal gold deposits, where significant gold is chemically bonded to tellurium, rather than occurs as native species are frequently referred to the special Au-Te type (Head et al., 1987). Owing to high grade of gold in the ores, such deposits are of great interest. In the northeastern Russia, the Au-Te epithermal deposits are known only from the Cenozoic volcanic belts of the Kamchatka Peninsula. This type deposits were not identified in the Cretaceous Okhotsk-Chukchi volcanic belt (OCVB) until recently, where the largest lowsulphidation Au-Ag deposits (Kupol and Dvoinoi) were discovered. Therefore, the Au-Te mineralization found at the explored Sentyabr’sky deposit, Ilirnei ore district is economically important.
