Gas shale reservoirs have the characteristics with low porosity and permeability, no air-water interface, selfstorage, a large area of continuous accumulation, etc. With monitoring the hydraulic fracturing of gas shale reservoir, some key results, fracture direction, distribution, and other geometric features (crack length, width and height), etc., would be forecasted with micro-seismic data produced by rock fracture. It provides real-time, accurate information for reservoir stimulation. The micro-seismic energy is weak about -3~+1(Richter scale), which is easily contaminated by the noise coming from the complex source, the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is low generally. It is very important for micro-seismic events location with noise suppression and SNR improvement for the raw data. Moreover, the noise is different because of the uncertainty and the randomness. It takes the great challenge to noise suppression. Many noise reducing methods in micro-seismic are discussed in recent years such as data summation, wavelet transform, etc. The Stain Unbiased Risk Estimation algorithm based on wavelet transform is characteristics of multi-scale, adaptive, soft threshold, which is commonly used to the noise suppression of seismic, logging and other geophysical data. The algorithm counts the thresholds in different decomposition levels after wavelet transform. In this paper, the denoising performance of the SURE algorithm would be discussed in micro-seismic data processing. 2 SURE algorithm Deposits
