To decrease the risk of stroke due to atrial fibrillation, cardiologists will insert a device known as a left atrial appendage occluder to the left atrial appendage. This will decrease the stagnant flow of blood in that particular region. Known complications of this procedure include perforation, migration and dislodgement. We report a case with uncommon late complication of this device causing erosion of the left ventricle, in which open heart operation was carried out to repair the defect.
