My aim in this paper is to analyze the concept of an aesthetic property in nonaesthetic terms. In the first section, I discuss two requirements that any analysis or definition may be expected to meet. I explain, moreover, why it is not unreasonable to assume that a definition of \u22aesthetic property\u22 may be able to meet these requirements. In the second section, I present what I take to be a definition of this notion, and, in the third section, I try to show that it does indeed meet the requirements mentioned above. In the next section, I address some worries that are likely to come up. And finally, in the concluding section, I explain what might be an important consequence of my proposal
