Widespread use of microcomputers with the latest project management systems offers a new horizon whose starting point may be located in the 1990s. Therefore an evaluation of software is needed. Here we present a comparative study of a representative sample of packages: CA‐Super project, Instaplan. Micro Planner, Microsoft Project and Project Scheduler. through the evaluation of quality features such as user‐friendliness, documentation, resource allocation. A discussion of the performance of this kind of software is included.
