An economic mini‐boom is underway, propelled by rapid vaccine diffusion, increased fiscal stimulus, and warmer weather. Expanded vaccinations will allow for a wider reopening of the economy, sparking the strongest economic performance in nearly 40 years. We now expect GDP growth of 7.2% in 2021, up 3ppt from our January forecast. Private consumption should grow 8.4%, its fastest rate since 1946.
