▀ The government's roadmap for exiting lockdown takes a gradual approach to relaxing restrictions. Combined with other factors, including the rapid rollout of vaccinations and the extension of fiscal support in March's Budget, the plan reinforces our view that the UK economy will outperform its peers in 2021 . ▀ Under the roadmap, and Covid numbers allowing, the economy will exit partial hibernation in stages, beginning with the reopening of schools on March 8 and concluding with all legal limits on social contact ending on June 21 . ▀ The extension of support measures in the Budget, including the furlough scheme, will help maintain the base of the economy as normality returns. Growth will also benefit from headwinds in 2020 becoming tailwinds this year .
