Schools will be familiar with epilepsy, a condition nowadays that is largely containable. Mike Johnson and Lisabeth Thomas, funded by the British Epilepsy Association, have investigated the effect of the Code of Practice on pupils with an epileptic condition. The survey provides an interesting insight into parents’ relationship with schools and the corresponding response. The authors provide a variety of suggestions for improving communication and partnerships.
