This article is co‐authored by the client and the therapist. The occasion is created by the desire to explain and understand a success story: a success for the client that was a surprise for the therapist. A dialogue is presented in which the therapist using a solution focus/narrative frame interweaves comments on the process. Final reflections are also offered.
