Cover image: A northern giant petrel displays agonistic behaviour while feeding on a seal carcass at South Georgia, Antarctic. Gianuca et al. showed that giant petrels – strongly sexually size‐dimorphic birds – present sex‐specific demographic responses to environmental drivers (i.e. seal carcasses, climate and fisheries). These findings suggest that ignoring sex differences in sexually dimorphic species could underestimate the relative influence of a changing environment on demography (see pp. 1366–1378).
