A female swift parrot ( Lathamus discolour ) sits at the entrance of her nest hollow in old growth Eucalyptus forest. Introduced predators are killing large numbers of nesting females leading to male‐biased sex ratios, increased competition among males for mates, and unusually high rates of shared paternity.
