Cover image: A photo of a 21‐year‐old female baboon ( Papio cynocephalus ) showing multiple and visible signs of senescence. For instance, limbs appear particularly thin and fur is missing on the backbone. It is necessary to look at senescence as an integrated dynamic evolutionary process that both shapes life history variation within individuals, among individuals within populations, and across species, and responds to life history variation. Our new Special Feature: An Integrative View of Senescence in Nature, highlights several axes of research that would benefit from more integrative and multi‐disciplinary approaches.
