Cover photograph: Antibodies induced by the recombinant Bordetella pertussis AfuA (rAfuA) promote PMN phagocytosis of Bordetella parapertussis . Bacterial phagocytosis was assessed by confocal laser scan fluorescence microscopy. B. parapertussis was incubated with anti‐rAfuA serum for 30 min at 37°C, washed, and further incubated with PMN.
