The paper looks into the problems of managing a supply chain well, focusing on the first step: choosing suppliers based on certain criteria. As a value creator, this part of the supply chain has to deal with a number of problems that need to be handled professionally. The study looks at how well current supply chain practices work. A literature review looks at the problems that supply chain management has to deal with. In this case, a lot of scientific articles have been looked at for a long time. Interviews with managers of active businesses have shown that the current way of judging suppliers is based on the personal experiences of the people on the evaluation group or team. The main reason for this research is the current way of judging suppliers and the need to make it better. The data is based on a business case study. We used the AHP method to look at the data. This method makes it possible to standardize the evaluation of the four preferred criteria. AHP helps people make choices that make sense, which makes it a good way to predict how well a business will do in general and in the supply chain. The findings show that Albania needs more research on its supply chains. The results suggest the importance of using analytical methods in managerial decision-making, especially the AHP method, as a prerequisite for satisfactory performance. Fuzzy logic and the AHP method have been used together to make decisions that are more debatable. The paper gives managers more information about why they need to use better ways to choose suppliers.
