In the title compound, [Zn(C 15 H 21 O 3 ) 2 (H 2 O) 3 ]·3C 4 H 9 NO, the Zn II complex has mirror symmetry. Two 3,5‐di‐ tert ‐butyl‐2‐hydroxybenzoate ligands serve as monodentate ligands, and three water molecules are additionally coordinated to the Zn atom, forming a trigonal–bipyramidal geometry.
