α‐Fe 2 O 3 single crystals containing 2.2% and 95% 57 Fe isotopes were characterized by means of X‐ray topography, the diffraction rocking curve and the integrated intensity. These crystals were revealed to be nearly perfect and suitable for a further nuclear‐resonant Bragg‐scattering study.
