Recent applications of combined EXAFS/powder neutron and X‐diffraction analysis are reviewed and provisional results for three additional compounds are presented. Criteria for successful refinements are suggested. The new results relate to the materials: CoAl 2 O 4 , La 6.4 Ca 1.6 Cu 6 Ni 2 O 20 and Pr 0.5 Sr 0.5 FeO 2.75 .
