The positions of reflections on the diffraction pattern from a polycrystalline fiber are described by a cylindrical projection of the reciprocal lattice. The characteristics of the projection depend on the crystal system and the orientation of the fiber axis relative to the unit‐cell axes. The program CPRL plots the positions of the reflections on a diffraction pattern from an oriented polycrystalline fiber (the cylindrically projected reciprocal lattice), for a triclinic unit cell with any orientation of the fiber axis. The results provided by the program facilitate interpretation of fiber diffraction patterns for complex systems.
