A small‐angle X‐ray scattering experimental study of tricalcium silicate ( C 3 S ) porous gel has been performed with synchrotron radiation. The experimental scattering intensity data are in accordance with the prediction for a porous fractal model. It is concluded that the porous fractal model describes the real structure better than the classical model which assumes the existence of differentiated macro‐, meso‐ and microporosity.
