A Kratky small‐angle X‐ray camera was modified so as to allow the use of a one‐dimensional (one‐dimensional) position‐sensitive detector (PSD) with it. The modification was designed in such a way that most of the calibrations, necessary for subsequent correction of the collected intensity data, can be performed with little alteration in the collimation geometry or the electronics settings. In particular, the calibration of the uniformity of detector efficiency can be performed by repeated vertical travel of the detector at a constant speed across a beam scattered from a sample.
