Orthorhombic unit‐cell constants for SrRE 2 O 4 (RE = Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, In and Y) have been determined by refinement of X‐ray powder diffraction data. Unit‐cell volumes are plotted against the cube of the trivalent rare‐earth ionic radius.
